If The Water Comes is a landscape documentary study of a Welsh coastal village, which in the year 2050 will be evacuated due to climate induced flooding. Fairbourne, which houses around 1200 residents, is at the forefront of the battle against climate change and has become one of the main focus points for research into coastal erosion throughout the UK. With groundwater and weakening sea defences playing significant roles within the longevity of the community; residents, government and local councillors are butting heads at what the future holds for the village of Fairbourne. My ongoing work aims to document the changing environment, landscape and socioeconomic situation in which the area finds itself.
